Hi there. For any of you with Nest Cameras at home, are you successfully able to view them through Nest.com on Firefox? I am not, and whenever I turn on one of my cameras, I just see the spinning loading graphic and a black screen. I'm not sure if this is a Flash issue or what?

Thanks!

The clip looks like it comes out of Youtube. Youtube currently uses the HTML5 player.

I ended up letting the clip fully load. Then hit pause, then play.

You may have to create a cookie "Allow" exception for specific third-party domains.

You can try to temporarily enable all cookies including third-party cookies to see if that makes a difference. To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure such extensions do not block content. There is security software that can interfere with loading content, so check that as well.

I'm sorry, but I think you misunderstood my question. I'm not talking about a video on the nest.com site. Nest Cams are security cameras that you can set up at your house and view live video through your nest.com account. For some reason, I was able to view my camera's live feed with previous Firefox versions, but it's no longer working. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the same reason why Facebook live feeds also don't work anymore with Firefox?

Do you see any error messages in the Web Console ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer)?

What code is used to access the cam if you check this in the Inspector?

You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the Inspector ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Web Developer) with this element selected.

You can contact their support. I don't know if anyone here uses this. If you want, you can send the link using Personal Message. After, you can change the access code.
