I installed 3 Mozilla e-pub readers and none of them work. How can I make them work?

I installed "Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla," "Lucifox," and "EPUBReader" in my Firefox browser. When I want to open an -pub file, I right click on the epub file > Open with > Firefox ... Firefox opens a tab that says "connecting" and the little wheel to the left of the word "connecting" on the Firefox browser tab spins and spins and spins but it never opens a file. I have tried letting it spin while I work on other things, and thirty minutes go by and it never opens a file. This is why I downloaded three options to read ePub on Mozilla. Can you tell me how to get this to work? How to read these files on Firefox? Thank you in advance.
