I've used Firefox since 2005, now with 46.0.1 it's virtually useless on https. I even receive :

The connection to support.mozilla.org was interrupted while the page was loading.

WTF !!!! Firefox won't let me talk to Mozilla? !!! Really !!! I'm now using 38.8.0 over Tor to access this site.

YGBFSM !!!!

I really like Firefox, but it has effectively stopped my secure web usage. How do I fix this? Or should I just say "Chuck it Farley" and use another browser? I'm running LXLE, an Ubuntu derivative, and Firefox 38.8.0. All was well until the latest version, or at least I could live with the constant "YOUR CONNECTION IS NOT SECURE", clicking Advanced and Add Exception, but that option is not offered on many sites. Mozilla!! I'm a big boy!! I can make my own decisions as to whether to go forward or quit the site. Make this pain STOP !!!!!

hi, is your question about ubuntu or windows? if you get error messages on all https sites this is certainly not normal and you should tackle the root cause of the issue instead of adding exceptions: How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites

Philipp Thanks for the response - I'm running an Ubuntu derivative called LXLE, which is LXDE derivative. The problem's occurring on MOST https websites and didn't start until I upgraded to FF46, FF 38 over Tor works fine. The error I'm getting does NOT allow me to add an exception. Where that the case I'd be ok. That's how it was prior to upgrade. Right now I'm really frustrated with Firefox. I can make my own determination as to the amount of risk I'm willing to take without someone dictating it. If necessary I'll quit Firefox and use another browser.

Firefox from mozilla.org for Linux generally does not encounter this issue like Windows users can encounter due to interference from software Firewalls and antivirus clients.

Also check to make sure your date/time is correct to be sure.

Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).
