it say a copy of firefox is already running and its not and i can't open it. How can I fix it? As soon as I press ok it crashes. Please help! haha

when i hit the app of the dock it says copy of firefox is already running but it isn't. When i say ok it crashes. I tried to clear it but it won't let me click on anything without saying ok then it disappears. please help haha

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox Disk Image file and drag the Firefox application to the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the Disk Image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.

You can check for issues with the parent.lock file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>/

In Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the ~/Library folder is a hidden folder.


Try to remove the current Firefox version from the dock and reinstall a new copy.
