Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Recieved via e-mail;

This is Sallyvis and you responded to my problem This is the crash record and they all were missing the bp until I clicked on them and then it popped up. I'm not very computer literate so I have to do a lot of searching. Anyway I did as your suggestion and it didn't work.

These are the most recent ones. And No starting in safe mode did not fix the problem. Is it safe to redownload the updates that were done about the same time as the crash? From Paint, Mozilla maintenance,& Dell updates were being done when the crash occurred.

I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

https://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

I did every thing here step by step and my icons are still frozen solid. This is really disturbing.

I'm presuming you are talking about icons for shortcuts to programs and web pages. What have you actually done on the Desktop? Try right clicking. I'm not using Windows at the moment but Linux Ubuntu offers re-aligning icons and putting them in alphabetic order - something like this could get them moving. Have you downloaded any new icons? Do so if you haven't - see if they are frozen.

When I R click on the icon the list opens and the icon will open up when I click on it. It just won't move to rearrange or move about when I use the mouse. It is still a workable system but very time consuming to have to take a lot of extra steps. I downloaded new icons and they freeze as soon as they hit the desktop.

Right click on a desktop space - not an icon - and see if anything there will move the icons.
