Opens two panes,keeping Firefox on rhs when loading a favourite website?

Open Firefox, Click to open saved website, and new page oepns left hand side, retaining Firefox tab open on rhs? Must be an easy solve??

Hi, right click on the bookmark > Properties, and deselect 'Load this bookmark in the sidebar.'

I knew I had put a tick in box somewhere but finding it was begining to get tedious!!
