Is it possible to install--and use--two different versions of Firefox? For downloads I like FireFox 17

I want to use Firefox 17 and a newer version of Firefox on my computer because I like the download information--when downloading--provided by Firefox 17 compared to newer versions. Right now I am just using Firefox 17, and also Google Chrome when Firefox 17 cannot function on a website.

What don't you like in the current Firefox versions and what are you missing?

Did you look for an extension that restores the previous appearance?

Firefox 17's download window shows download speed, download time remaining, size of download, and a progress bar, but all this, or parts of it (especially the download speed, which is the most important to me), were absent on subsequent versions of Firefox that I tried. I do not know if all of this has been restored in any of the recent versions because I got tired of the trouble of trying them and then having to reinstall Firefox 17. Why change something like the download window if you do not improve it. Eliminating useful information is just bad design in my opinion, especially without polling users.

I did not look for extensions that restore the previous appearance of a Firefox version. I did not know they exist, and I do not know how to search for them (what key words, or where are they located?); however, after I send this message, I will attempt to search for them.
