I cn't delete mail on the server
I delete mail in TB but it's still on the server. is there a way to delete both in one stroke?
Chosen solution
Make sure you have subscribed to see the gmail Bin/Trash folder.
- Right click on imap mail account in Folder pane and select 'Settings'
- select 'Server Settings' for imap gmail account
When I delete a message:
- select: 'Move it to this folder' and select the 'Bin on imap gmail account'
Message Storage;
- Select: 'Clean up (Expunge) Inbox on exit.
- Select: 'Empty Deleted folder on Exit'
- click on 'OK'
Here are a couple of links with relevant information explaining the methodology of gmail deletion and 'All Mail' folder.
For anyone who reads this and has POP: Pop mail accounts usually download from server and auto delete the copy off the server. If you have a setting in Account Settings > Server Settings to 'Leave a copy on the server', then the copy will remain on server unless you also select : 'Until I delete them' and/or 'for at most xx days', which will remove anything older than the specified days or immediately upon delete.

Hello! Thank you for posting your query on SUMO. To fix this issue, Enable IMAP on your email service. And if you have the option to in the settings of your service, turn POP Off.
What mail provider are you using? What mail protocol are you using IMAP or POP?
