Youtube picture stops, jumps. last 2 months. old IE browser no problem

In last 2+ months youtube vidio picture stops, jumps forward and freezes. Getting worse. center of picture has arrow in circle rotating during stops. Sound is usually ok but will sometimes jump also. I have tried different fixes offered here but they do not work. I reloaded my old IE browser that is not supported and it works fine. My ISP is CenturyLink

What are you using as a player? None is listed.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers
