Cannot import .p12 certificate

After updating from windows 7 to windows 10 I cannot import a .p12 bank certificate on firefox. The procedure goes as follows:

Options -> Advanced -> View Certificates -> Import... -> Select Certificate -> Input password -> Error message: "The PKCS #12 operation failed for unknown reasons."

I have gone through the "Troubleshoot and diagnose problems" page and went through all the steps. Only oddity i found here was that the Plugin Check page didn't work for me.

The certificate works on Microsoft Edge though.
