I have used Firefox for a long time now, but suddenly after I minimized the window it can't be restored. I have tried re-installing it but the problem persists. I also have tried using the solutions method [url=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/980358]here/url without any result. There's no localstore.rdf file in my profile folder. What should I do? I have backed up my old profile just in case. Thanks!

Chosen solution

localstore.rdf is no longer being used and has been replaced by xulstore.json.

Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift (Mac: Options) key to see if that works.
