My tags don't show up in my Thunderbird e-mail folders. How do I make tags viewable?
I create tags while files are in the inbox and they are clearly visible there (colored highlighting of the whole e-mail entry), but after I transfer the individual e-mails to a folder the tags are no longer visible. At least I haven't found them. What do I need to do to remedy that? (I'm running this on Windows 10 on a 1-year-old HP desktop. My browser is Firefox, updated.)

You may need to set the tags to view in the folder that you have move the email to. This article should help you to see the options that are available and how to set them.
