I want to restore my history. Had problems with mozilla. It kept saying "not responding". Message appeared something like it would fix the fault. When Mozilla restarted I noticed there was no history. When I checked settings "clear history when firefox closes was ticked. So now I only have history from today. Is there any way I can restore the history going back months?

No, unless you have a backup of the places.sqlite file in Windows 7 from before your deleted you history.

You can check if there is a previous version of the places.sqlite file available.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

You need to remove existing places.sqlite-shm and places.sqlite-wal files when you restore an older copy of places.sqlite.
