Why does firefox close immediately after printing a page?
Hi,
I've successfully downloaded and installed Mozilla on my notebook running Windows XP, and the browser looks great and works well :)., except for when I print a page on my Epson R800, and then Mozilla closes itself down immediately after printing. I don't have any printing problems on other browsers or programs.
There are no crash reports on Mozilla as it only closes down, and I have gone through every stage of the troubleshooting help section and followed them through to all stages as required.
I'd love to use Mozilla and any advice is most appreciated.
Thanks, Ivor.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Thank you for your prompt attention to this problem Fred, it's very much appreciated :).
I have now tried and again to start Mozilla in Safe Mode, and the issue is still there that it closes itself down immediately after printing a page.
Thanks again, Ivor.

check this:
- see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
- disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Basically, the browser, or whatever program, sends data to the printers cache. After that, there should be no further contact.
Go to the printers support site, and download the current full installers. Also, check with their support site.
Good afternoon Fred,
Thank you for your time on this matter - it's very much appreciated. At this point I'm going to organize a local IT person to investigate further as I'm not technical enough......
Thanks again, Ivor.
Once you find a solution, please post it here for others to see. Good luck.
