Cant access emails from Thunderbird, sign in says browser not excepting cookies when entering password
I have successfully installed Thunderbird and installed one email account but when I go to add another account it takes me to the Google sign in page to enter my password, but when I enter the correct password, I get a window saying that my browser has cookies disabled I have tried with settings both on and off and it doesnt seem to work! I have no problems accessing the email from a web page by logging in, just through Thunderbird
My first email account added works fine, so I have managed to do it once so I am confused
Any ideas???

Thunderbird is the browser in question here. It is one of those things Gmail force on everyone by being the 10000 pound Gorilla in the room.
Tools menu (alt+T) >options > Privacy> and turn on accepting cookies.
