Thunderbird has worked perfectly for a long time, but yesterday, the outgoing server suddenly changed from BTInternet to Yahoo, and I am unable to send any more. I didn't touch the settings, and I have carried out a full system and malware scan. Despite changing the settings back, I still receive error messages, and Thunderbird will not send e-mails. Screen shots attached.

BT uses Yahoo as email provider. Yahoo screwed up (again), and managed not to renew the cert for smtp.mail.yahoo.com. There is nothing you can do about it other than complaining to yahoo. Only Yahoo can fix this. I suppose it won't take too long.
