This page also has a download for the latest player (but I don't know whether it will work any better): https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

I tried what you suggested and got the same error message. I do not have Microsoft Picture Maker so I saved it to word. I saved the file to a pdg however I can't upload it either.

Oh, sorry, it might be simpler to copy the image from the Word document and paste it into "Paint" which is on the Start menu, All Programs, in the "Accessories" folder. Paint can save a PNG or JPG file, which will be uploadable.
