Cannot remove RSS toolbar
I have an RSS toolbar that I installed many versions of Firefox ago. I recenetly decided I did not want it anymore and I just cannot get rid of it. The extension for the toolbar is no longer in the add-ons folder, not in the extensions folder either. I tried doing a firefox refresh did not fix. I tried right clicking on the tool bar did not fix. I tried uninstalling firefox did not fix. I tried deleting all the registries did not fix. I like firefox but I really want this rss toolbar gone. It is annoying me enough that I almost don't want to keep using firefox. If your uninstall does not uninstall that concerns me.
How do I fix this issue and remove the toolbar?
Chosen solution
I figured it out ... it was NOT some shady software that I installed (like you suggested) it was that I wanted to remove the Live bookmark aspect to my bookmarks. I have done this and it works exactly as I desired.

We have no idea what you decided to install. A third party plugin and program needing uninstalling from the Windows control panel. Some addon, or a toolbar that most users would avoid. Had you used the option to provide full information including the add-on list it may ave given further clues.
These articles have the general advice
If it is the ordinary built in icon for RSS (labelled as subscribe) just use the customise option to drag it back to the palette of currently unused icons.
This program was installed via the Firefox Add-on store, directly from the Firefox browser. I do not remember the version number of Firefox I was running at the time. If it was sketchy software it was delivered and approved via the Mozilla Firefox store directly.
Which I click on the bookmark option at the top for each individual website it provides a drop down list for that website for the newest news articles.
Livebook mark, how do I turn that off?

Glad you sorted it out. Thanks for posting back.
So as explained in my first post John99 said

The live bookmarks and any live bookmarks folders themselves may be removed or moved in the same manner as ordinary bookmarks
- see Use bookmark folders to organize your bookmarks
- There is also an old article live bookmarks
