Firefox crashes
Firefox crashes on startup since the last update (27 Jan 2015) System Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit Never had a problem with Firefox before & have been using it for years.
Firefox won't start in either normal or safe mode.

libc-2.19.so = Unknown
libpthread-2.19.so = Unknown
You could try a different icon-theme in your Linux distribution to see if that helps.
You can try to disable OMTC. Add this line to the prefs.js file in the Firefox profile folder.
- user_pref("layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled", false);
- ~/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/

Disabling OMTC didn't do anything, nor did changing the icon theme.
FredMcD - I don't know what you want me to investigate here.
Firefox still doesn't work - it broke after the last update at the end of January.
The version shipped as TOR browser does work OK.
