Hi davecornish, In order to further investigate this, can you please provide the steps you are taking to save a bookmark. (For example are you clicking the star, right clicking, or using the Bookmark menu, or in Show all bookmarks are you adding a bookmark)

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
