Why Firefox does not have official portable version?

I know that there are third party sites that provide portable versions of Firefox but they have some limitations. For example, they can't handle properly working with the profile manager and running multiple instances simultaneously, and they are using portable launcher. So, my question is why there is not an official portable version of Firefox that can work without limitations as the installer version?
