I have done the upgrade and now want the reminder on my Chrome web page to go away.

My default browser is Google Chrome. Recently there appeared a reminder just under the address line which told me to upgrade Firefox. I have done the upgrade and the message has not gone away. I reboot every day so that is not a solution.

You have me confused. Why would Chrome be advising you to update Firefox? How would Chrome even know that you have Firefox installed, much less that it needed to be updated?

I am sorry, the message is coming from Yahoo, it is on the Yahoo menu line at the top of the page. I attached an image below. look in the upper right had corner.

Ignore that message, Yahoo is trying to entice you to install their custom build of Firefox, which may contain unwanted "extras".

If you are using AdblockPlus, you can use this add-on to block that message. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/elemhidehelper/
