I'm trying to delete my gmail account from the current version of Thunderbird. I go to Tools/Account settings, select it, go to Manage Identities, but the Delete button and Set Default vuttons are disabled. How can I delete it?

Chosen solution

If you are trying to delete an ACCOUNT I am not sure what you are doing with Manage Identities.

Go to Tools-Account Settings Select the account Then Account Actions-Remove Account

If there are any message for this account that you want to keep, move them to a folder under Local Folders before removing the account. Any message associated with a removed account will disappear with the account unless moved to Local Folders first.
