Firefox crashing many times in a day

Firefox has been crashing for weeks now. I tried everything from system restore to uninstalling and installing Firefox again. I also did virus scanning and disabling hardware acceleration but this thing is still crashing.

Have you tried to do a profile reset? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems

The crashes could be a problem with hardware acceleration.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
