I reinstalled Firefox 30 trying to fix a problem (it didn't work) and everything reinstalled properly except my tabs. In my profile I have the following: sessionstore.bak 5kb sessionstore.bak-2014060517243 83kb sessionstore.js 23kb I think this is my current open tabs I think that the 83kb file is what I am looking for-do I save it as sessionstore.js overwriting that file? Or are there other options?

Hi marty4f, Thank you for your question. I understand that you are trying to restore a session file to a new installation of Firefox. The sessionstore.js file is correct. Replace this file and restart the browser. Please rename the existing file to avoid data loss! And then copy the sessionstore.js file into the profile folder.

For future issues you can try this add on Session Manager

Note that a sessionstore with a time stamp (sessionstore.bak-2014060517243) gets created when Firefox is updated. In this case on June 5th. If you want to recover that session then you need to place this file a sessionstore.js in the Firefox profile folder. If the startup setting isn't "Show my windows and tabs from last time" then you need to use "Restore Previous Session".
