YouTube playback problem (works in chrome)
well starting today Firefox no longer plays youtube videos... opens all ads and annotations for 1 sec then "an error occurred ...." i'm pretty sure adode is behind this treachery...
things i've done clear all caches/cookies etc safemode reset turn H/W acc off uninstall /reinstall fresh FF uninstall /reinstall fresh adobe flash player
still no luck.... been using FF for 6 years now.... chrome plays well should i give up?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
There might be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
i've uninstalled by clearing all user preferences ....then reinstalled so the user profile has nothing to do with it.... even video ads dont play but the annotations and image ads on player come on for a second then crash "an error occ....."
debug info ......
