Why do my email links open in IE? I want to set up Thunderbird to open email links in Firefox.

When I open my gmail account in Thunderbird the links open in Internet Explorer. I would prefer that they open in Firefox. How can I make this happen? 

Is it a Thunderbird issue or a gmail issue?

Usually Thunderbird will use your system's default browser. Can you double-check that it's Firefox? See: Make Firefox your default browser
