When I create a link in WordPress it will not open the link in a new window

Hi I've been creating websites in WordPress for some years and just today I find that when I create a link to open in a new window using Firefox as the browser the link just reopens the same page

This is the code:- <a title="find out more" href="http://socialmediatrainingjob.info/mainsq" target="_blank">Find Out More Here</a>

<a title="more" href="http://socialmediatrainingjob.info/mainsq">fred

The'fred' link will go to the desired website but the 'Find Out More Here' goes nowhere.

These links behave as they shoul when I use Internet Explorer and Chrome

Any ideas how to fix this for Firefox my version is 17.0.1

Hi

Thanks Jscher it waqs a add on called 'Adblock Plus 2.2.1' Once it was dissabled all was back to normal. Just to proove it I re enabled and the problem returned. So I've removed it completely. Funny thing is I never actually installed it in the first place

Normally, Firefox has no problem with target="_blank". I wonder whether you are getting some interference from a particularly aggressive add-on pop-up blocker? You could try disabling ALL nonessential extensions and see whether that resolves it.

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions category

Any difference?
