Firefox freezes when visting already visited sites

Here is the problem: When I visit a Gawker website(Lifehacker, Gizmodo, etc) again after I visited it previously. My browser freeze totally. Strangely enough it only happens after a certain time, as I reload at least once after opening the tab.

Its a problem with the History because If I clear the history completely I can visit them again with no troubles. But the problem restarts as soon as I got them in the history again. I dont want to delete my history everytime I need to open one site.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:

Doesn't seem to work. I run all the options off the extension and still get freezes.
