I keep clicking on the new tab button but it won't open a new tab. it only opens for some links. i changed a couple things in my settings but nothing that had to do with the tab button. i even uninstalled and then reinstalled firefox but it still has the same problem. what should i do or check? thanks!

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Evidently something in that extension isn't compatible with a Firefox security fix. Disable that extension or un-install it.
