Firefox not storing browing history
Several weeks ago I cleared my cache to solve a problem. Since that time, Firefox shows the last ten websites I visited on the History drop-down menu, but when I click on Show All History, the window is empty and says "no items" at the bottom.
I researched this problem on other websites and followed these troubleshooting tips provided by others: 1) ensured that Tools:Options: Privacy is set to Remember History 2) ensured that private browsing is not activated 3) typed About:Config into my address line and verified that all the browser:history settings are default (180 days; 40,000 items)
I'm sure this is a simple setting somewhere, but I'm out of ideas. Can anyone give me a clue?

If the History menu shows history items then that would suggest that the history is working.
This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

deleting the places.sqlite files and restarting Firefox fixed the problem. Thanks so much!
