Flv file downloads are not completing. Get messages that "rtRKBAs.avi.part could not be saved because the source file could not be read. Try again later or contact server administrator." When I open VLC and am asked if I want to repair broken avi file, part of the video appears, up to where download failed.

Every time Firefox opened

I turned off Standby in Power Options and this solved my problem. Since I have a Standby button on my keyboard and I have a habit of putting pc to sleep when I leave anyway, this hasn't been an issue for me. Hope this works for you.
