In recent months, Firefox has begun to nag me to assign security keys to various sites. I don't need to do this because I have excellent protection from LastPass. How can I turn this nagging thing off?

That's coming from the sites.

If you don't plan to use any Webauthn functionality, you can disable that API completely:
