With vertical tabs and expand on hover, clicking on the X box rarely closes the tab. Sometimes I have success if the pointer is on the left or right line of the box. Not having luck on the center of the box. Has been true for several weeks. With hover off, clicking the X works fine. I am running Windows 11.

Hi,

Are you referring to this issue?

No. The issue asks for a smoother close flow. The X is on the right side of a tab (when on the left). Clicking on it does not close the tab.

Thank you for reaching back, that sounds weird and is definitely not intended. Could you please file a bug report on Bugzilla (and post a link here)?

Thank you for doing that!

Actually, it appeared to be a known bug which should be fixed in Firefox 141. The version 141 will be released on July, 22. I'll post a reminder here when the update is released, so that you can test it and confirm (or not) the fix.
