firefox crashes when i try to log into gmail be it on tumblr or in gmail itself. I have deleted cookies, reinstalled firefox so i'm clueless, it also doesn't save a crash report so i can't send it in

What OS? What version of Firefox? I can log into my G-account with no issues. Did you try with Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search
