Is the Disconnect addon needed with the latest Firefox?
I have just updated to Firefox 104 and as Firefox by default comes with protection from tracking etc., do I really need the Disconnect addon any more?
Thanks

In the early days of Enhanced Tracking Protection, users were afforded the choice of two Disconnect blocklists, one more aggressive than the other. There were numerous issues reported by users of the extension, evidently caused by a conflict between the two. The reasonable solution was to use one or the other - ETP or the Disconnect extension.

That doesn't sounds like a firefox Addon where did you get this Addon? Beyond the cookie management from pass to harden protection tracking that sounds more like a Addon issue that you may or may not need.
It's been around for years.
Anyone else with views on this?

This was very helpful. Thanks.
I am now thinking about uBlock Origin: Is this still needed with Firefox?
Sure, Firefox can only block data requested from some server according to its built-in rules (i.e. you can't add rules) whereas in UBO you can create filters to block specific content and add websites to specific rules.
