Hi. When I click a link in Firefox in a webpage that opens a PDF, I get a barrage of new Firefox windows, one a second that keep opening until I close Firefox by force. I have my computer set to open PDFs by safari by default, and I have the appropriate setting in Firefox. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Any ideas?

Use this add-on for Adblock Plus, it's designed for that: http://jessehakanen.net/adblockpluspopupaddon

This can happen if you have set the Firefox application instead of "Preview in Firefox" as the application to handle PDF files. You should never select Firefox if you get the 'open with' dialog as that will cause you to get tabs opening endlessly.

You can check the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) in "Options/Preferences -> General -> Applications" and make sure that "Preview in Firefox" is selected.
