MS W10 with Firefox 58 as default browser other applications links do not work

In Windows 10 with FF 58 as the default browser (I have checked FF is established as the default) the links in other programs (mail, telegram, ...) do not work. You click the link and nothing happens. Those same links work properly if you establish Edge as default.

Did you also change that default settings in the Windows settings as well? Or check that location to be sure Windows didn't change it back? I do know when you change it from Edge in the Windows settings it will pop a message and if you didn't see that message then you need to go to Windows settings to see what it has setup for default browser.

No, windows settings have FF as default browser, I have checked this in FF itself and in windows settings --> applications --> predetermined applications have FF selected. This is something that happens after FF actualization 57 --> 58

What are those other application?

Links in Thunderbird, Telegram, MS Word do not work. They do not open FF or open a tab if FF is already open. I am not sure if this happens in FF 57 as well but it works without problems in FF 56. If you change the default browser to Edge everything works properly.
