Lagging, freezing and video pop ups
I have recently notice a lot of lagging to my laptop, a lot of freezing where it says "not responding" then will finally load the page, and video pop ups that I am unable to find the location they are coming from. I have ran several virus programs and I am still having the issue.

Here is a screen shot of the type of video pop ups I am getting.
I experienced the same thing. (freezing website, not the video pop-up)
Try an adblocker to get rid of those pop ups...
In PaleMoon(a FF derivative) I didn't have stalled websites so far. http://www.palemoon.org/
I switched initially to get back the old, non Australis UI but it seems many websites are much more responsive than in FF.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good add / pop-up blocker.
