When I press "add bookmark" nothing happens. I tried resetting Firefox, but it hasn't solved the problem. I can edit my existing bookmarks without any problems. I'm working on a windows pc. What do I do?

Where is that "add bookmark" appearing? On a webpage?

Firefox uses the phrase Bookmark This Page for saving a new bookmark.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
