No paste as image in Outlook Web Access
When pasting an image from the clipboard in Outlook Web Access in Edge there's right mouse button option to "Paste as Image". This places the image inline. In Firefox there's no option like this.
Safe mode (troubleshooting mode) doesn't fix this. Ctrl + V or Shift + Ctrl + V doesn't fix it. Shift RMB to get Firefox menu does show Paste and Paste without formatting but it doesn't paste any inline image.
I've attached a screenshot of Edge and Firefox with the Outlook context menu and Firefox context menu.
Firefox version: 140.0.4 (64-bit) Edge version: 138.0.3351.83 (Official build) (64-bit)

Hello
Take a look at https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/outlook-com-right-click-paste-and-copy-not-available/m-p/30560/highlight/true#M11614
I tested, dom.event.contextmenu.enabled value false, and it works, with the messaging.

This only enables the Firefox context menu but as is mentioned in the OP even manually triggering the Firefox context menu shows the Paste and Paste without formatting but it doesn't paste the image inline (or as attachment). This doesn't fix the issue
Do you agree with my the following remark? dom.event.contextmenu.enabled value true (by defaut), Paste, does not work. dom.event.contextmenu.enabled value false , Paste, works.
When I test this:
- Open small image in MS Paint, Select All (Ctrl+A), Copy (Ctrl+C)
- Right-click in message body calling up the site's custom context menu, Paste
- Click in message body, Ctrl+V
- Shift+Right-click in message body calling up Firefox's built-in context menu, Paste
The normal right-click > Paste method does nothing. There is a message in the Web Console (Ctrl+Shift+K) that indicates it is disabled to resolve some issue with the site. Meanwhile, there is a bug on file to ask Microsoft to make a change on their side before it is re-enabled (#1947685).
The Ctrl+V method and Shift+right-click > Paste methods work normally for me. I'm not sure why those aren't working for you. Do they work in other sites that accept image pastes? You can use Google search-by-image (https://images.google.com/) as a test: click the camera icon at the right end of the search bar and then paste a non-confidential image.

No I don't agree with your remark. Pasting of images never works in Outlook Web Acces using Firefox. Either with the option "dom.event.contextmenu.enabled" set to true or false.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I've checked the Web Console and getting the same error message when using the OWA context menu. "clipboard.read() has been overwriten with a no-op. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1815733#c13 for details.". When using the Firefox context menu (shift+RMB -> Paste) I get the same error message.
But I did some further testing and found that the Firefox context menu pasting does work in the shared mailbox. It doesn't work in my personal mailbox.
I've also tested in Google Images and here it also works. Possibly it's an issue with personal vs shared mailboxes in Outlook Web Access.
Thank you for reporting back. Is a shared mailbox one that is delegated to you with edit or send-on-behalf-of permissions? My memory of how that works is a bit rusty. But as long as you can compose messages by typing and pasting text, it is strange that pasting images would work differently.
