Spam on Thunderbird mobile
Hi,
On my desktop, thunderbird does an awesome job cutting spam. While on the mobile its terrible, not just are most spam mails coming thru but some legit emails are getting flagged. Is there some way to make it mimic the desktop.
Thanks in advance

With mobile you must rely on your mail provider's spam capabilities.
by email provider, you mean the email client or my host? This is for the email from my own domain and emails on the desktop and mobile access the same server. The email client is obviously Thunderbird in both scenarios. So there is no real difference in that. Only difference is the spam filter on the thunderbird client on the desktop as well as the mobile. The desktop I know has an adaptive filter so it has ha the advantage of what is spam over the duration I have been using it. The mobile which doesn't have the advantage of that history doesnt seem to be 'learning' either. Is there a way you can set the adaptive spam filtering on OR can we copy the 'spam list/black list' from the desktop client to the mobile

Unfortunately no.
ok,
In that case it kind of defeats the idea of using Thunderbird on the mobile if it has no advantage over the next randon email client. IMO the idea between using the same client on different device is that you are data and experience is the same. Your messages get synced, in the inbox as well as the sent folders. Your folder structure is shared. And you see the same set of emails in both clients. Now I have a situation where the desktop shows the relevant emails as spam is cleared and filters are run. While on the mobile I am just wading thru spam, many of the times legit emails just dont show up. So if I step out of my seat and check my mobile I cant even see what email I had sent while on the desktop client. So as a Thunderbird desktop user there is no advantage using the thunderbird mobile client. I could use gmail or outlook and probably get better spam capabilities and better editing features..
