Are you sure your flash drive isn't setup for VRam?

If there is nothing on it try to reformat it and try again to see what happens. It sounds more like a bad USB drive then anything right now since there is nothing on it. If that is the case here.

I formatted it and still not allowing firefox to open web sites. I think you are right! This problem has been happening since the day I purchased it. Thanks for your help.
