how to prevent drag drop in bookmarks sidebar

I often 'lose' bookmarks in the sidebar only to find I've inadvertently dragged them into another folder,

I would like a toggle to lock/unlock the toolbar. Maybe with a timer that applies the lock after a user set period of time (e.g. 5 minutes)

An add-on would be fine, doesn't have to be baked into the core product

I'm not aware of a way to prevent this.

Are you using a mouse or a touchpad ?

Note that if you haven't closed Firefox that you can use "Organize -> Undo" in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to undo accidental changes.

Hi cor-el

I 'try' to use a mouse, I find touchpads impossible. I have a disability which means don't have very good fine motor control in my hands - or my brain ;-)

I'll try the Undo next time it happens, but I suspect it will most often be too late.

Is there anywhere one can make suggestions for extensions

thanks PD
