When Google came back up in April 2015 after being down for several hours, my two gmail accounts were merged in a strange way. When a friend responds to an email from the major account, their reply comes back into my minor account. I can transfer the response to my major account but this is tedious. Please suggest a way to correct this issue. All the settings for both accounts are exactly the same as they were set up originally before this odd "merger" happened. Do I have to delete Thunderbird and start over? I have found it is not straightforward to access all the emails and contacts when doing this. The whole process is very cumbersome. Thanks for any help you can give me. -Sandra

When your friend receives your message, which of your accounts appears in the "from:" field? Was it the one you used? I'm guessing that when you send "from" your major account, the message appears to your friend to have been sent "from" your minor account.

Deleting Thunderbird rarely helps with issues like this. The settings are all in your profile which is not changed or deleted when you reinstall the program.
