My android tablet was running our of space so I transfered FF using x explorer to a sd card without first backing up bookmarks. Bad idea. X explorer created a zip file which I could install back to my tablet. I redownloaded ff. I desire to import or transfer my bookmarks but can not find them. My zip files are: base.apk; split_config.arm64_v8a.apk; split_config.hdpi.apk; Any suggestions?

I was switching computers and created a backup file. The type was html oddly. I tried to restore this backup on two different computers and both times it fails during the restore process without presenting a useful error message.

I can only guess that the file is corrupt, but it is only a guess since the error message is useless. It also seems strange that the backup didn't produce any errors (manual backup). Any suggestions?

I run normal firefox on linux. Fully up-to-date. Every time I quit the app, it reverts to a version of my profile from a month ago, and loads all the tabs I had open then, and then receives all the tabs that I sent to the device in the interim (~1 month). As I speak, it just caught the 60 or 70 tabs in this window.

I tried changing the name of my profile folder to randomstring.defaultOLD and changed one of the backups to randomstring.default. This didn't change the behavior. I'm still stuck in the loop. I saved my tabs with onetab, because firefox isn't remembering my session anymore. I thought it was something to do with updates, like it only loses its mind upon updates, but that's not true. It thinks it's updating firefox EVERY TIME, because the one time it's loading to 1 month ago it was updating, but I'm 100% sure there are no updates to firefox in my linux. It's just hallucinating.

The articles on restoring from backup are outdated. They say to use an html file. There is no html file. It's just folders for profiles, not html files. HELP!

I have been using Firefox for years. I am not tech savvy. A very tech savvy member of the family recommended firefox years ago (and now says we should use Brave or another).

Does anyone run Firefox? Why is there no contact centre/people? Why do other members have to answer questions? The reason I am losing total faith in Firefox is that it must made me update and restart and every open window I had (and the tabs on each window) have been lost. I cannot retrieve them, which I have always been able to do via "Restore previous sessions". There was so much important information on those windows and tabs from way back - too far to shift through the history. Can anyone give me one good reason to stay with Firefox? Thankfully, there are many browsers to now use. Firefox has perhaps just become a habit and one I should have changed a long time ago. Thank you.

I recently purchased a new desktop due to the previous desktop malfunctioning a bit. The old hdd is still in operating condition and is now a slave in my new cpu. Where can I find the history/bookmarks on the old drive? Is there a filename that is relevant for the data?

Firefox has complained for sometime that my profile was created with a newer version than what I was using. I'd click OK, and go about my day. After about a month, I decided to upgrade so it would stop bugging me. When I did, my old profile did not merge, but was deleted, and now I have lost all of my passwords and bookmarks. How can I restore them when the profile is empty?

I used Firefox yesterday. My settings are to open Firefox with tabs restored - but all my tabs (as they were yesterday) are missing and when I go to history, the option to restore a recent window is greyed out. The option to restore a previous session doesn't even seem to be there.

I notice in task manager I have 15 firefox tasks. Could my window from yesterday have opened somehow in the background, but not be visible to me anywhere?

Upon restarting my laptop earlier today, I realized that ALL my Firefox bookmarks have disappeared into thin air. Gone (or, rather, "empty") is my bookmarks toolbar, and my bookmark menu, and everything else. What to do? Thank you.

I had a problem with my Zotac PC and had to do a reset, when done none of my passwords or bookmarks came back after the resety even though Firefox asked for my password and email to send me a code but everything is gone and I have way to reach some of my frequently used sites, can you please help? I got up this morning and, boom, I am forced update Firefox. Lost everything: history, bookmarks, and passwords. It's suggestions are useless. I have gone to "profiles" (only 2 and none of my information is in either). I am living in Taiwan and half the time the help is in Chinese, which I cannot read. The loss of my information is devastating and I cannot find any real person to help me. There must be a way. Where do I find real help?

last night when i closed the system down, i had 5 spacial tabs with names, and apx 50 other tabs open, come to start the system this morning.. all gone.. nothing.. just a new firefox.. all my history.. gone... this is not good, as the 5 spacial tabs that i had where from seriten sits that need to be their,and now.. just gone.. the lot... and all the setting are correct..

I have updated firefox on my desktop, with quite some open tabs, where Firefox promted that after the upgrade all tabs would be restored. However, none of them were restored nor could I find them in the history. I guess I had all opened in a private window. IMHO the prompt could have warned for this and now I have to reconstruct all these tabs with my memory.

Is my assumption right?

HELLO, DUE TO YOUR UPGRADE, WHICH CAME TO ME TODAY, alllllllll OF MY BOOKMARKS HAVE BEEN LOST, OR SOMETHING. Who has the TIME? to read your instructions, which usually don't follow through with any results.

I can't say enough trashy things to you that I don't have the time to deal with this issue.
