Hi, for some reason, I am severely restricted in size when uploading files to Facebook, with a maximum .jpg size of under 50k. I do not have this restriction in Microsoft edge, or on my phone, only on my laptop. I do not have an ad blocker installed that I am aware of. Appreciate any help. Cheers, Merv.

I have not found an answer to my question anywhere, nor can I solve the problem I have encountered on my own. The thing is that when I log into my YouTube account and then close the browser, turn off the tablet, after restarting I have to go through the process of logging in to my YouTube account again. I think the browser is great. I am talking about the Firefox Focus browser. This problem does not occur on Firefox, but for my old hardware it is too slow.

Hi. For a long time, I've noticed that emails I send from home are sent, but those I try to send with the same settings do not get sent when connected to the Internet in 4 out of 4 cafes. My ISP, Zen, hasn't been able to explain why. I've tested whether Google VPN blocks it somehow, and it doesn't. I normally use Thunderbird. Today, I found that, in the same cafe, messages I tried to send using Thunderbird failed to send, whereas there was no problem with GMail, Proton Mail or Outlook. Any suggestions?

I have just started using Thunderbird and I'm trying to change the default colour for a hyperlink.

I have tried about:config -> browser.anchor_color and browser.active_color but neither has worked.

I also tried using a user.js file but that didn't work either.

I would have thought this would be a fairly basic thing but it seems to be impossible.

There is a preference "media.gmp-widevinecdm.visible" When it is set to true we can see the Widevine addon in Add-ons and Themes. When Firefox is close the setting reverts to false and the addon is no longer visible.

Is this expected behaviour?

We cannot get Netflix to play DRM content. We are currently getting the UI3012 error. We updated the prefererence "media.gmp-widevinecdm.force-chromium-update".

I don't have a netflix account so I can't test on my PC, but setting the above preference on my PC and visiting netflix.com seems to be enough to trigger the installation of Widevine, as I have a folder called;

F:\Users\Tanya\Profiles\ownri05i.default\gmp-widevinecdm\4.10.2891.0

My brother, who is the one experiencing the issue, says he does not have the gmp-widevinecdm folder in his profile folder. However, before updating the force update preference he was getting the F7701-1003 error which changed to UI3012 after setting that preference.

The problem started when I updated his PC from a very old Windows 10 21H2 patch level (2486), to the current 21H2 patch level 5854 and updated Firefox 115.9.1 to Firefox 128.11.0

Will look into OS version upgrades later in the year, but for now I'd like to get Netflix working again.

Recovery of thunderbird forced change of message structure. Old tried and true layout became irrecoverable. Install phase of new thunderbird is not the time to go dicking around with the existing data structures. (which you yourself decided on ages ago).

How do I roll back the unwanted "upgrade" of thunderbird ?

I am no longer able to send an article or something downloaded from the internet, via the email option offered, because I just get my own email sign-in box in the past and I want to be able to use this option again. Please tell me if there is a setting that's been changed. Thanks.

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to mmlsay.assam.gov.in. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely.

What can you do about it?

mmlsay.assam.gov.in has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

I saw my same issue described in an archived thread "Several users have reported connection issues with Google sites including YouTube. This has been linked to the "zero round trip resumption" feature. That is intended to speed up website connections, but there seems to be some kind of compatibility issue. Currently, there is only a hidden way to disable this and see whether it helps".

I tried the method given (going to about:config and turning security.tls.enable_0rtt_data to false) but it did not work.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I accidentally dragged the Firefox in the installer directly onto my dock (on Mac) and that Firefox was working perfectly fine. But I noticed there was "Firefox" drive running on my system. To fix it, I realized I had to drag the Firefox in the installer into my applications folder and run that Firefox. So I did so, and ejected the Firefox drive.

Using the new Firefox that was actually installed in my Applications, I am now stuck with the same problem of Google sites not being accessible.

When I pay with a credit card, Firefox asks me every time whether I want to update the expiration date. It doesn't matter how I respond; it will ask me the same question the next time. Furthermore, the saved expiration date is never actually used to help fill out the form.

Firefox has just introduced wallpapers for browser home page. I cannot get it to work. It's either cropped too small or pixilated, is there a setting I need to adjust, or a particular image format? So that it looks ok.

I want to save a shortcut on my desktop that will access a particular site in Firefox using private browsing. It appears (?) years ago you could do that by adding -private to the end of the target. That appears to no longer work.

To replicate this issue, an image from my device is uploaded to a website that requires an image file input; the resulting image displayed on the website becomes corrupted and unreadable. The theory forming currently is the website is having issues retrieving or reading the input images; however, this bug seems to be consistent with several other websites, indicating Firefox is not able to read the images correctly and thus could result in fragmentation. - The image posted is a .png file of a screenshot of an attempt to post a picture to social media, based on the functionality of this bug, I am predicting this image will be fragmented and will only show blue and black lines. The image being posted online is also in a .png file format.

This behavior is beyond annoying. On the desktop version, it will install the update before the browser opens. It should work exactly the same way on all versions. Please get this fixed. I am very tired of being in the middle of browsing a couple of web pages, then the browser decides to close and update without warning.

Every time I try to go full screen on firefox for the youtube site, it will quit the Firefox app, or turn into a black screen with a tiny bit in the corner, or go into the wrong orientation. After maybe the third to fifth try of full screening, it will finally work. I had this issue with the firefox app for all my phones (all Oppo, so unsure if this is device specific). I've tried to book flights repeatedly online and Firefox is preventing it. How do I nknow? because I went to Safari and the bookings went straight through. Same bookings, same sites.

On Windows 11 when I try to set up two accounts for two separate users on the same email server I get an error. When I do the same on Windows 10, it works as expected. Both Windows have the exact same versions of Thunderbird. Why should this be? Can I do something to get it to work? I will provide any additional information requested to get at this.
