Currently using Firefox 26. There is one particular site I access regularly, the site now comes up, but I'm getting this message in the log-in box:

"The connection was interrupted. The connection was interrupted while the page was loading. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

Can log in to the site using Firefox 26 on another network, or using IE11 anywhere. Don't have a problem with any other site. Have cleared history and cache, used "forget this site".

Could you check whether there is anything special about how Firefox connects to the internet? Under:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button

The default is "Use system proxy setting" which should piggyback on your IE settings, but you also could try "No proxy" to see whether that makes a difference.

Also, could you check for any error messages in the Browser Console? First return to the login page. Then open the console using Ctrl+Shift+j. To reduce clutter, "unclick" the CSS button, and click the Clear button.

Keep this window open and switch back to the login page and try to log in again. If you switch back to the Browser Console, are there any error messages there?

Changing the proxy setting from the default worked. Out of curiosity I changed it back again, and the site still works.  ?? Thanks for the quick reply.
