Every time I try to play a news video on Yahoo home page it wont play. I have to bring up IE and play it. If I want to click on a photo to see it and there are other photos to view as well...when I click on the arrow to advance to the next photo, nothing happens. I have to open IE and do it there.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
