Most likely your desktop simply hasn't successfully finished syncing your browser history, so it hasn't reached passwords yet. (Passwords, prefs, and tabs are the last to sync.)

How long should I give it to finish the sync?

It should only take a few minutes, but it'll depend on your device and network connection, and how much history you have stored on the server. If it's not done in an hour, I'd be concerned.

(You can also open preferences and disable history sync…)

I am using firefox home on my iphone. does Sync will copy passwords to my iphone. it would be gr8 if we can have this.
